As of 1 November 2016, ACM has imposed obligations on prices in car advertisements.

The price in the advertisement must be the price that the customer actually has to pay for his used car. This price must therefore include all unavoidable costs.

What are avoidable and unavoidable costs?
Because there are still some ambiguities in various articles on the internet about what exactly are avoidable and unavoidable costs for new cars and used cars, BOVAG has drawn up a manual.

Autosoft uses the rules of the BOVAG.
View the manual here.

Advice from Autosoft
Autosoft would like more clarity about this new rule in terms of content, before we start developing new functions in AutoCommerce.

For this transition period, we recommend the following:

  • Set the road preparation costs to € 0 in AutoCommerce
  • Rethink the asking price you put in AutoCommerce. This is the price that will appear in the search portals;
  • Add any avoidable and/or unavoidable costs in the free text under 'Description' on the 'Basic data' tab.
